Choose Top, Bottom, Left, or Right relative to the pane you are using. The focused pane stays the reference inside a multi-pane layout.
Narrow dividers preserve the shape of the native desktop terminal while each shell keeps its own compact header.

Pane controls
The controls stay close to the shell.
Each pane begins with a compact header containing the square pane handle, shell title, optional Active label, and overflow menu.
Terminal content begins immediately below the header, keeping the interface dense without becoming a dashboard.

winTerm is designed around the expectation that terminal activity is private. General usage analytics and automatic crash uploads are off.
Diagnostic bundles are generated only when you explicitly request them, exclude sensitive content by default, and should be reviewed before sharing. Automatic update checks are off by default and no automatic installer is implemented.
